Professor Patton’s Daily Journal Article

In a passionate article in the Daily Journal on Wednesday, November 16, Professor William Wesley Patton argues that innocent child victims will soon be forced to reveal intimate secrets of their troubled lives to the media and the public due to a proposal by Michael Nash, presiding judge of the Los Angeles County Juvenile Court. Judge Nash has issued a notice that he will open child dependency proceedings to the public within 30 days. In the article, Professor Patton argues that opening the courts will cause abused and neglected youth to be placed at risk in the very system designed to protect them.
