Whittier Teams Excel in Recent Competitions

Trial Advocacy Honors Board

Congratulations to the Trial Advocacy Honors Board members that competed in the regional National Trial Competition in San Diego, organized by the Texas Young Lawyers’ Association. Of the two teams that WLS sent, Alisha Wood, Michael Ocampo and David Raskin, advanced to the semi-finals, and the other tram, Amee Chiang, Melissa D’Morias, and Daniel Leonetti, advanced to the quarter-finals. This is a great achievement and a best place finish for Whittier Law School in the history of this tournament.

Melissa Dimick and Molly O’Brien advanced to the octo-finals, and Melissa was given an award as the 6th best oral advocate in the preliminary rounds. The team that defeated them, University of Akron School of Law, went on to win the entire competition.
