Question 2

How are you currently involved with the practice area?

My involvement in the environmental law field takes on several different forms: practitioner, professor, and volunteer. In my capacity as a practitioner, I am an associate in the Environmental and Natural Resources practice group at Best Best & Krieger LLP. I advise and counsel public and private clients on compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act, National Environmental Policy Act, federal and state Endangered Species Acts, and other environmental laws. From an academic perspective, I teach a survey course entitled “California Environmental Law” at Whittier Law School, which is designed to expose students to the California equivalents of some of the more significant federal environmental laws. As a volunteer, I am actively involved in the Orange County Chapter of the Association of Environmental Professionals, an organization dedicated to the development of environmental professionals.
