How have you brought Family/Children’s Rights Law to WLS?
In addition to encouraging students to take part in our wonderful externships and clinical experiences involving child and family law, I also teach a course on International Adoption Law. The course began as an offering during Whittier’s summer abroad program in Nanjing, China, and has since been offered as a regular semester-long course. I also serve on the Center for Children’s Rights committee at the school where part of our charge is to oversee the Children’s Rights Fellows and the curriculum of the program. As co-faculty advisor of the Moot Court Honors Board I also have a hand in running the National Juvenile Law Moot Court Competition--the only competition that is exclusively devoted to issues involving children and families.
