Question 4

Why do you think it is important to explore Family/Children’s Rights?

The importance of exploring Family/Children’s Rights Law simply cannot be overestimated. It is an area of the law that touches virtually everyone in a great variety of ways. Protecting children from abuse and neglect is not only a humanitarian effort, but it is also a vital service to society as a whole. Appropriate procedures in the area of juvenile delinquency likewise benefit not only juveniles, but also society as a whole. In Family Law, issues of child support, custody, dissolution of marriage, parentage, and many others affect the lives of all of us, either directly or indirectly. These are just a few of the concerns in Family/Children’s Rights Law.
