Question 1

How long have you been involved with Family/Children’s Rights Law and what made you initially interested in this area?

Following four years of law practice related to appellate law, I wanted to use my research, writing, and advocacy skills on behalf of abused and neglected children. Toward that end, I was accepted on the panel of Appellate Defenders, Inc. in 1997. In that capacity, for twelve years, I was appointed by the California Court of Appeal for the Fourth District in more than 200 cases involving abused and neglected children.
