Raiders’ move to Las Vegas could change sports betting, says Professor I. Nelson Rose

Huffington Post, March 30, 2017

Advocates for the legalization of sports betting are cheering the NFL’s recent decision to approve the Oakland Raiders’ relocation to Las Vegas. According to I. Nelson Rose, a professor at Whittier Law School and a gaming law expert who has advised governments and the industry, the decision could signal greater acceptance of the push to legalize sports gaming.

“It’s a pretty big symbolic breakthrough,” Rose said. “The sports leagues used to be unified against anything that could conceivably lead to betting on sports.”
