Monica Henain Elected To ABA Law Student Division Position

Whittier Law School student Monica Henain

Monica Henain, a 2L student at Whittier Law School, has been elected as the 9th Circuit Ambassador to SBA Presidents and SBA Representatives within the American Bar Association Student Division. She will serve in this post for a year term.

There are 14 law schools in the 9th circuit. In her position, Monica will act as a liaison between the student leaders from these law schools, and the ABA Student Division.

She applied in July for the position. “I wrote about my positions and experiences in my application. A few months went by, and I hadn’t heard anything. Then I received an email naming all the new officers, and scrolled down…and there was my name!” said Monica.

She will be attending a mid-year conference in San Diego in February, as well as the yearly conference over the summer. Monica has definite goals in mind.

“I want to heighten the visibility of Whittier Law and portray a positive image of our school,” she says. “Whittier educates us to be leaders. We just have to grab the opportunities – and they are not limited to campus, they are nationwide. We have so many chances to engage and participate.”
