L.A.  County Bar Association Names Whittier Law Alumnus as President

On June 25th, Paul R. Kiesel, a 1985 graduate of Whittier Law School, was installed as the President of the Los Angeles County bar Association (LACBA), one of the largest bar associations in the country. The ceremony was held at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in downtown Los Angeles.

Mr. Kiesel is a partner and founding member of Kiesel Law in Beverly Hills, one of the leading class action law firms in the United States. Mr. Kiesel has repeatedly been selected as one of the top plaintiff attorneys in the State of California and the country. The Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Mr. Kiesel as one of the Top 50 Trial Lawyers. The Daily Journal named Mr. Kiesel one of the 100 most influential attorneys in the State of California.

The Kiesel Advocacy Center, the new courtroom at Whittier Law School which opened in 2013, is called The Kiesel Advocacy Center, named in honor of Mr. Kiesel.

Martin Pritikin, Associate Dean of Whittier Law School, attended the ceremony, as well a variety of Whittier Law School alumni including Kenya Williams, chairperson of the Whittier Law School Alumni Association.
