The study abroad programs at Whittier Law School have long held a reputation for excellence, and this year the Barcelona program is introducing another prestigious instructor.

Dale Nelson, the Vice President, Senior Intellectual Property Counsel for Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, will be teaching the course “International Intellectual Property Law,” an area in which she has a wealth of experience — including dealing with numerous Harry Potter matters! In fact, Ms. Nelson advises all business divisions including theatrical, television, digital and games production and distribution and consumer products, covering a vast portfolio of intellectual property. She supervises intellectual property litigation in the US, Europe, Asia, Brazil, India and other jurisdictions.

According to Robert Webster, the director of the Barcelona program at Whittier Law School, “Dale’s enthusiastic willingness to teach is a reflection of the strength of our program, and the respect in which it is held. We extend to her the warmest of Whittier welcomes!”

Dale Nelson will teach the course with Rami Yanni, another prominent IP lawyer. Mr. Yanni is the Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at Saban Brands, a global company with well-known entertainment and lifestyle brands including Power Rangers, Paul Frank, La Banda and other properties.

The Whittier Law Barcelona Program will be held July 1-29 at the University of Barcelona. More information about the program is available on the Spain Study Abroad site.
