Robinson & Cole LLP is pleased to announce that Candace M. Cunningham was named as the President of CREW CT–The Real Estate Exchange for 2011.
CREW CT–The Real Estate Exchange is the Connecticut Chapter of the national organization known as CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women). Ms. Cunningham has been a member of the Real Estate Exchange for over 14 years and has served on several committees in that time, including as chair of the Program Committee and as a member of the Membership Committee, the Blue Ribbon Committee, and the Developer’s Showcase Committee.
The Real Estate Exchange is the only commercial real estate organization in Connecticut dedicated to the promotion of women across the spectrum of commercial real estate professions, including finance, design, construction, sales, appraisal, law, property management, and development, where women network directly with other industry professionals. To become a member of this organization, professionals must be nominated by two current members, have been engaged in commercial real estate for at least four years on a full-time basis (or one year for associate membership), and have attended at least three Real Estate Exchange functions.
Ms. Cunningham is counsel at Robinson & Cole, practicing real estate law with an emphasis on affordable housing finance, commercial finance, and commercial leasing. Most of her counsel is focused on representing commercial and institutional lenders, private financiers, and borrowers in mortgage loan financing and refinancing transactions, construction loans, affordable housing loans, bond-financed loans, conduit loans, and tax credit transactions.
