Candace Cunningham, Class of 1987

The American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA) has elected Candace M. Cunningham, a lawyer at Robinson+Cole, to its membership as a Fellow. Ms. Cunningham will be welcomed at the ACMA’s annual meeting in October 2015.
ACMA fellowship is by invitation only. Fellows include in-house and government lawyers and private practitioners, who are experienced in preparing real estate mortgages and lending transactions secured by real estate and related practice areas, as well as prominent members of the academic community from each state.
Ms. Cunningham focuses her real estate law practice on affordable housing finance, commercial finance, and commercial leasing. She represents commercial and institutional lenders, and private financiers in complex structured financings, including the acquisition, construction/rehabilitation, and refinancing of multifamily properties nationwide in connection with a variety of standard as well as affordable housing loan programs that include Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, US RDA, and CMBS executions.
Among the many leadership positions she has held in professional organizations are president of CREW CT – The Real Estate Exchange from 2010-2011 and editor in chief of the Books Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Real Property, Trust and Estates Law since 2006. Ms. Cunningham was elected a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation in 2012 and a Fellow of the Connecticut Bar Foundation in 2014.
