Law Day 2014

Presented by the Constitutional Rights Foundation of Orange County

Law Day 2014 brings together 600 high school students, judges, attorneys and teachers on the campus of Whittier Law School to discuss and debate topical legal and social issues. Government and U.S. History teachers are invited to bring their students to attend this unique educational event.

This year’s conference will discuss:

  • Bullying and Bystander Liability: What’s current in the law and what might be needed?
  • Affirmative Action in College Admissions: Is it legal? Is it fair?
  • Violence in Society and Mental Health: Personal Freedom vs. Public Safety
  • DNA and Privacy: A discussion about the consequences of the use of DNA in criminal justice
  • Tenure: Do teachers’ tenure rights jeopardize students’ rights to a free and quality education?

Space is limited and teachers must RSVP.
