Whittier Legal Access Program

Offering access to affordable legal services, provided by recent Whittier Law School graduates.

In order to assist our recent graduates in growing their legal practices and address the access to justice crisis, Whittier Law School has partnered with the Legal Aid Society of Orange County to create the Whittier Legal Access Program (WLAP). This program connects new lawyers with clients who need legal services, beginning in early 2015.

The offices of the Whittier Legal Access Program will be in Santa Ana, next door to the Legal Aid Society of Orange County.

Participants benefit from:

  • Shared office space and business infrastructure
  • Client referrals from the Legal Aid Society of Orange County
  • Training and mentoring in law practice and small business management

The Orange County community benefits from:

  • Access to discounted legal services from licensed attorneys
  • 300 Hours of pro bono work per attorney donated through the Legal Aid Society
