Announcement of July 2008 Bar Passage Results
I am delighted to report that in the July California Bar Examination Whittier Law School first-time takers passed at a rate of 84.6 %, the highest first-time bar passage rate in the history of the Law School as an ABA school.
It is my privilege to congratulate the graduates who achieved this singular result. They fulfilled their own ambitions to become members of the bar and the dreams and hopes of their loved ones. They fulfilled as well the dreams and hopes of their teachers and staff at the Law School, for whom the success of the graduates is so close to their hearts.
In addition to the graduates, we should recognize the tremendous effort and dedication of the faculties of the Law School, including the academic success, casebook, clinic, and legal skills professors. They have worked tirelessly for the news we share today.
I am personally gratified that the programs we put in place seven years ago, including the founding of the Institute for Legal Writing and Professional Skills and the Institute for Student and Graduate Academic Support, have brought us such joy.
Best wishes. Neil H. Cogan
