Date: April 07, 2008
News Subject: The Susan E. McGuigan Oral Advocacy Competition
The Susan E. McGuigan Oral Advocacy Competition is an annual event sponsored by the Institute for Legal Writing and Professional Skills. As part of the Legal Writing curriculum, all first year students present oral arguments to a panel of judges comprised of law school professors and practicing attorneys. Winners are selected from each section of legal writing and those individuals compete in subsequent rounds of oral argument. Ultimately one winner is chosen as the Best Overall Oral Advocate from the entire first year class.
It is with great pride that I announce Hoon Chang is the winner of this year's competition.
