My.Whittier Password Request
The School’s intranet website my.whittier
is a secure site which provides Whittier College and Law School
students, faculty and administrative staff with world-class
Intranet and Internet services. This is where you can access
e-mail, news and events information, and a wide variety of
academic and administrative services.
To access this site, go to Whittier’s
student website at http://my.whittier.edu and enter
your Whittier assigned user name and temporarily assigned
password. Note that there is a tutorial on the site to introduce
the features of the site to you and help you use it effectively.
Your user name is created by the
student record management software and includes your
first initial and last name. If these combination of
letters is longer than eight characters your last name
will be truncated by the system. If there are, or have
ever been, other students with your names, the system
will assign numbers to make a unique user name, but
keep the length of your user name at eight or less
characters. We will
assign you a temporary password which you may use the
first time you log into the system. Your password is
made up of your first and last names initials and a six
digit number representing your birthday. The convention
is two digits for the month, two digits for the day and
two digits for the year. If your name is Jill Green and
you were born on March 6, 1980, your assigned password
would be - jg030680 .
When you login to http://my.whittier.edu
for the first time with that password the system will instruct
you that your password has expired and that you need to select
a new one. Follow the instructions on the screen to select
a password. We do not have access to the information, including
your e-mail, on your my.whittier. Obviously, various departments
at the School will also have some of the information. The
Registrar’s office will be able to view your schedule
and the Business office will be able to view your financial
information, but neither will be able to view both. After
the initial direction you may change your password by following
the instructions on the site.
