Public Interest Grant

Public Interest Scholarships from PILF are awarded to select Whittier Law School students (1-2L, 1-3E) who work during the summer in the field of public interest. PILF awards and administers these summer work grant opportunities in order to support and foster the commitment of Whittier Law students to the practice of Public Interest Law. Grant funds come from PILF fundraising efforts conducted throughout the academic year.

Criteria for the award include demonstrated commitment to PILF, public interest participation, and other factors. The grant selection process is competitive. To be eligible for a grant, students must complete a minimum of 5 pro bono hours (which must come from working at the annual PILF auction) and participate in fundraising activities, including the PILF auction).

More information and applications are available to students in late Spring Semester.
