The Assistant Dean for Student Affairs counsels students on both academic and personal issues. Academic issues may encompass schedule planning, petitions, and various other matters.
Students may also periodically experience academic or personal emergencies which can elevate the normal law school stress. We frequently serve as a liaison in helping obtain support services for students with acute or chronic emotional and/or physical challenges. The Office of Student Affairs offers a variety of services aimed at assisting student adjust to unforeseen and extraordinary circumstances.
As covered in the Student Disability Accommodations section of the Student Affairs website, the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and the Student Services Coordinator also work closely and confidentially with students to procure appropriate accommodations for those individuals with learning and/or physical disabilities.
