1. Download, install and electronically register with ExamSoft:
Whittier Law School has a yearly license with ExamSoft, therefore, once each academic year, you have to download and register with ExamSoft EACH YEAR. This registration is good for the entire year so if you register in the Fall term, you are good to use ExamSoft for the Fall, Spring, and Summer terms. All you have do is check for Service Pack updates throughout the year. To Register with ExamSoft:
2. Mock Exam:
Once registered, it is imperative that you take the mock exam as soon as possible. By taking the mock exam, you will verify that the program is working as it should; and if you have any problems, we will have enough time before the start of the exam period to correct them. We recommend that new users use the Mock Exam feature at least once or twice prior to the exam period to get familiar with ExamSoft navigation and features.
3. Download Exams:
You will only be able to take an exam once you have downloaded the exam from the examsoft website. On the Reading Day of each term, all your exams will be available for download. You will be able to download exams up until the end time of your exam. ExamSoft examfile Download (Mock and Regular Exams) step-by-step instructions.
4. Technical Problems with ExamSoft and your laptop:
Unfortunately, the Office of the Registrar cannot assist in solving technical problems with ExamSoft, therefore, if you encounter technical difficulties while installing the SofTest software, please contact ExamSoft technical support directly at (866) 429-8889. You can also send an email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to receive electronic help. Their normal hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. EST, however, they usually have expanded hours during exams.
As Law School support staff will not be available to handle technical issues related to your laptop, it is imperative that you make sure that your laptop is in good working order before the day of your exam.
