Starting Fall 2010, the school will initiate the Orange County Coastkeeper Fellowship Program and will be adding two more environmental law classes to the schedule. Having the opportunity to take an Environmental Law class will be helpful to me in future practice, but for other students it is also a great opportunity to learn about this fast-growing area of law. There is also a student-run organization (Environmental Law Society) on campus which also offers opportunities for other externships and many community service projects. The society tries to raise campus awareness on several environmental issues, while educating people on how simple changes to their behaviors can help protect our environment.
