Where do you see the practice area today and where do you see it in the future?
Commercial law has evolved as commerce has evolved. For example, today there is a well developed law of international commerce that was only rudimentary a generation ago. It developed because the explosive growth in international trade required legal rules and procedures to resolve disputes. Similar developments have occurred in the law governing computer technology as that area of commerce has developed. In the future, the continuing evolution of commerce into new areas and new ways of doing business will require a corresponding evolution of the law to govern the new commerce.
