Professor Jenny Homer has been with Whittier Law School as Academic Services Director since 2011. The WLS Academic Support Program focuses on assisting students with the development of their practical and analytical skill set through workshops and one-on-one individualized counseling. She currently instructs both a second- and third-year course, Legal Methods I and II. Beginning Fall 2012, Professor Homer will expand her course load to include Torts, a first-year course.
Prior to joining Whittier Law School, Professor Homer was the Graduate Teaching Fellow in Academic Development and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Golden Gate University School of Law. She instructed two mandatory legal skills and bar preparation classes for multiple semesters: Legal Analysis, a first-year course, Practical Legal Writing, a third-year course. In addition, Ms. Homer offered her legal services for a South San Francisco based non-profit organization.
Professor Homer graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Environmental Analysis and Design from the University of California, Irvine. Ms. Homer received her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University School of Law where she earned a merit based scholarship, the Women’s Endowed Law Scholarship, and was both a peer mentor and an executive officer for the Student Bar Association. She has been a member of the State Bar of California since 2008.
