Proposed Whittier Law Courtroom [3400 Square Feet]
- Designed for trial or appellate proceedings
- Spectator gallery of 134 seats, entire space accommodates 160 people
- State-of-the-art interconnected technology and wireless access throughout
- Features a three-judge panel and counsel tables with integrated monitors, a SMART podium, witness stand, jury box, spectator gallery and a clerk station
- Multi-purpose design accommodates many uses including conferences, symposia and classroom activities
- Sophisticated acoustic system minimizes ambient noise
- Each seat in the spectator gallery offers AC power and a retractable work surface
- Design includes rustic stone and slate elements, maple and mahogany finishes, and 16-foot ceilings
Proposed Jury Room [430 Square Feet]
- Designed for jury deliberation and review of evidence with whiteboards and 12 chairs
- Features a seven-foot projection screen to project and review electronic exhibits
- Multiple use for seminars, meetings and small receptions
- Wired and wireless connections
Proposed Judge’s Chambers [415 Square Feet]
- A classic judicial chamber with separate conference space
- Office space for the anticipated Jurist-in-Residence program in which judges will become honored guests and teachers at Whittier Law School
- Multiple use for seminars, meetings and small casual gatherings
- Wired and wireless connections and a seven-foot projection screen
