Julian Bailey received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UCLA and his juris doctor from UCLA Law School. After law school, he served as a Deputy District Attorney in Orange County where he prosecuted serious felonies, misdemeanors, and environmental crimes, trying more than 50 jury trials to verdict.After entering private practice, he was asked in 1980 by the late Judge Robert Rickles to serve as a Superior Court Referee to preside over dependency and delinquency cases in Juvenile Court, and has served as Presiding Judge. He was recently appointed to the Orange County Superior Court by Governor Jerry Brown. Through the years, he has adjudicated thousands of cases involving neglected and abused children, juvenile delinquency, and adoptions.
