Academic Notice

First-year law students who receive a Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA) of less than 77.00 are given “Academic Notice.” The purpose of Academic Notice is to place students on specific, individualized notice that their academic performance is substantially below average. While these students are permitted to continue their studies at Whittier Law School for the remainder of the semester, they are sent a letter reminding them that they should work on improving their skills, and that they must improve their Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) to at least 77.00 by the end of their first year, or face disqualification.
