IP Fellowships and IP Legal Writing

The Center for Intellectual Property has created two new opportunities for students interested in intellectual property, beginning in the 2002-03 academic year.  First, the Center is providing five intellectual property fellowships for incoming students.  The fellowships provide a partial scholarship and, for full-time students, admittance into the new IP Legal Writing section.  Fellows are selected by the intellectual property faculty, based on a separate application form submitted by interested students.

The IP Legal Writing section, limited to twenty students, provides first year students with an introduction to intellectual property concepts as part of their Legal Research and Writing course.  During the year, members of this section are given assignments  based on various issues that arise in various disciplines of intellectual property.  Members of this special section are selected by the intellectual property faculty, based on an application submitted by interested students.

The application form for the Intellectual Property Fellowship and the IP Legal Writing section is included in the regular admissions package.  To obtain an application, please contact the Admissions Office of Whittier Law School at (800) 808-8188 ext. 123 or click here to apply online.
